About Client:

The hiring company is a New Zealand publicly listed company that derives its revenue from department store and online retailing. The company employs approximately 11,450 people, operates predominantly in New Zealand, and is administered by its head office in Northcote, Auckland.

Role Overview:

Support the research chapter by executing research and analysis to help answer business questions and support our OKRs, to ultimately understand and delight our customers. With a key focus on supporting our core brand tracking, voice of customer and communication testing programmes, this role will help us to continue to build a culture of action within The Warehouse Group through actionable insight.

In addition, the role will involve supporting the NZ-based insights team with ad hoc insights requests, providing the opportunity to be involved in high-impact initiatives.

 

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with scripting questionnaires; data analysis (including analytics on internal data where necessary) and charting of data to be presented back into the business to help generate actionable insights.
  • Managing the delivery and execution of TWG Internal Communications testing programme.
  • Supporting the NZ team to deliver Brand Tracking reports and ad hoc requests from stakeholders.
  • Supporting the NZ team to manage the Voice of Customer (NPS) tracking programme and dashboard development.
  • Contribute to squad output:
    • Work together with tribe and squad members on different tasks in sprints to deliver on the squad mission.
    • Take full responsibility for achieving the tribe goals within squads.
    • Define, create, and iteratively improve squads working and productivity.
  • Participate in squad ceremonies wherever possible (stand ups, sprint reviews and retros)
  • Contribute to squad developments and learnings by reviewing performance after each sprint, openly share achievements, self-improve and share expertise with colleagues.
  • Building and maintaining relationships across the key stakeholder groups within the business, by working professionally and being familiar with Company systems, procedures, and policies.

Questionnaire writing/scripting

• Scoping the business need with TWG stakeholders.
• Assist with questionnaire writing.
• Script questionnaire on online platforms (Qualtrics).

Data analysis
• Extracting survey data
• Analysing data through Q, Excel and other similar analysis software depending of       the research need.
• Analytics on internal data where necessary
• Charting data to be presented back to the business.
• Charting key findings from analysis to be presented back to the business.

Essentials and Desirable

Essential:

Minimum 3 years research experience, incl. developing and managing quantitative projects – essential.
• Proven experience in helping to develop, nurture and evaluate brands and their impact in communications, customer experience and innovation.
• Understanding of creative development process and supporting insight methodologies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Attention to detail.

Desirable (not mandatory): 

• Tertiary qualifications in Marketing Research / Marketing / Finance/Statistics
• Experience in marketing and comms / media evaluation
• Experience in customer brand tracking.
• Experience with ad hoc quant research.
• Retailing experience.
• Project management experience.
• Experience using Qualtrics.
• Computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook at an advanced level.
• Some presentation skills advantageous
